Dans ce tableau inaugural du projet "Berceau du Monde", nous découvrons le "Calliste superbe", un oiseau originaire de la forêt amazonienne, dont la survie est menacée. Cette série de peintures panoramiques vise à illustrer les conséquences du plantationocène et des pratiques extractivistes sur la faune et la flore. L'oiseau, symboliquement fragmenté par les lattes du lit, donne son nom à cette œuvre.
In this inaugural painting of the "Cradle of the World" project, we discover the "Superb Callistus", a bird native to the Amazon rainforest, whose survival is under threat. This series of panoramic paintings aims to illustrate the consequences of the plantationocene and extractivist practices on flora and fauna. The bird, symbolically fragmented by the slats of the bed, gives the work its name.
